Why does the steam feel not hot?

  • The temperature of steam is directly proportional to its pressure—the higher the steam pressure, the higher its temperature. When water turns into steam, as the steam moves away from the nozzle, it quickly loses pressure and its temperature decreases rapidly.
  • This is similar to boiling water: steam is hottest at the source but cools quickly as you move slightly away.
  • During the cleaning process, use the "VERY HOT" zones for cleaning tasks.
