  • The minimum width would be 16" apart but you can install as wide as you would like as long as they're in studs. Do not go more than 48" wide between uprights; the board may bow in the middle if a lot weight is placed in it with no support.

  • The lag bolts do not come with anchors, the size of the lag bolt is as follows, head size 13mm, threaded diameter 7.8mm, threaded length 50mm, total length 55mm.We have designed and tested the weight capacity of these based on stud installation.

  • Yes, the 16" does include the flex tip end and yes, you can secure a 20" or 24" deep shelf on the arms. Each arm has 2 holes that you can put a screw through and into a shelf board to secure them to.

  • The lag screw mounting hardware that is included with the heavy-duty wall racks are only for wood stud installation.

  • The purpose of the tabs is to prevent material from rolling off the shelf. If adding your own shelf, you can go beyond 16" in depth. You can easily bend the tabs down flat.
